Bank reconciliation and a daybook that balance to the cent

Movements from Qonto and from bank statements enter the daybook and are matched to open invoices by amount, number, name and IBAN. Sure matches close on their own; probable ones you confirm. Underneath sits double-entry bookkeeping.

A reconstruction of YVY's Reconciliation screen, with demo data.

From the bank movement to the double-entry posting

Every euro takes the same road: it comes in from the bank, is matched to its invoice and becomes an entry in the general journal. Whoever checks it sees the reason for each match.
