Trade and distribution: YVY's verticalization is on the way
For companies that sell products, YVY is not ready yet. The trade verticalization is on the way: after the order, in place of the project, there will be shipping management, with inventory inside the catalog and the courier. The rest of the thread stays as it is today. Your processes can become the case we design it on.

Shipping
Preview of the trade verticalization, on the way, with demo data: it is not an available feature today.
Today YVY is built for companies that sell services and projects: there, the order opens a project. Companies that sell products have a different step in the middle, and we will not pretend a project is a shipment.
What exists today and what is coming
| The step | In YVY today | With the verticalization |
|---|---|---|
| Clients and price lists | Contacts with VAT-number lookup, catalog with codes, VAT and several price lists | The same |
| Quote and order | Quote with versions, PDF and sending from the record; the confirmed order | The same |
| After the order | A project opens, built for services | Shipping: picking from stock, parcel, courier, delivery status. Coming |
| Inventory | Not there | Stock inside the catalog, product by product. Coming |
| Invoice and payment | Invoice from the order to the SDI, payments reconciled in the daybook | The same |
How we picture it
This is the direction, not a ready feature: we settle the details with the first pilot cases.
- The confirmed order prepares the shipment, as today it prepares the project: nothing to copy.
- Inventory lives in the catalog. Stock is a product field, next to price, VAT and price lists, and goes down when goods leave.
- The courier is a step on the thread. The parcel, the pickup and the delivery status sit on the order, where whoever answers the client looks for them.
- The invoice goes out when the goods have left, if the order rule says so.
How do you become a pilot case?
Tell us about a typical order
From order to delivery: where it is prepared, who ships it, what gets lost on the way.
We design it with you
The inventory and shipping flow built on your case, not on an imaginary company.
We test it on a demo company
With every feature switched on, before touching your data.
We bring it to your data
Once the design holds, with your history imported.
Frequently asked questions
When will it be ready?
We will not give a date until the design is settled with the first pilot cases. When it is ready, we will say so here.
What can I use today?
Contacts, CRM and quotes, catalog and price lists, e-invoicing and accounting are ready. Shipping and inventory are not: that is why today YVY is not the complete system for a trading company.
Do I have to leave my current software?
No. Until the verticalization is ready and tested on your case, your software stays where it is.
How much does being a pilot case cost?
We talk about it on a call, starting from what you need. The price is to be defined.
Will it handle several warehouses and couriers?
We decide that with the pilot cases, starting from how you work.
