Job order
A job order, or simply a job, is an engagement received from a client, with an agreed value, work to be done, and its own costs and revenue. In services and project-based companies it is the unit by which everything is measured: time, the people involved, suppliers, invoices, margin. Managing by job means knowing, for each engagement, how much was sold, how much it cost and how much has been collected.
In YVY
In YVY the job is born from the order: when a quote becomes an order, the project template of each service sold becomes a project on the canvas, with the quote's code and a suffix. From there you follow nodes, hours, assignees, expenses and invoices, and the Reporting tab shows value, costs, margin and the amount collected.
