MCP (Model Context Protocol)

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets an artificial intelligence application use the data and actions of another piece of software through an MCP server. The server describes its tools; the AI chooses which one to use. Anthropic introduced it in November 2024 (announcement), and since December 2025 it has been managed under the Linux Foundation (specification).

In YVY

YVY has its own MCP server. Every tool calls the same logic as the interface, with the same permissions: your connected chatbot sees and does only what you see and do. It reads, creates and edits; sensitive actions, such as issuing an invoice, it only prepares, and you approve them in YVY. Every call ends up in the activity log.
